Reception Class had a visit from the Oral Hygienist today to check how good they are at brushing their teeth. She was very impressed - Just look at those pearly whites!

Many thanks to Reverend Steph from St. Cuthbert's, who visited St. John's yesterday to talk to the children about Advent. She explained the meaning of advent and shared some items with the children, including a nativity scene and an advent calendar. Reverend Steph also gave us an Advent Wreath with candles to light each Monday until the end of term!

Reading is a priority at St. John's this year and Mrs Rossington has bought every class a 'book advent calendar.' Each day, the children will open a door with a real book inside to share with the class. Make sure you ask your child what book they read each day!
