Our School

In our most recent Ofsted inspection, the school was graded as ‘Outstanding.’ We provide high-quality teaching from caring, conscientious staff who are committed to ensuring that every child reaches their full potential.

Christian values are fostered within our friendly school and we were rated ‘Outstanding’ in our most recent Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS). We have links with Darlington Deanery and the Durham Diocese.

It was lovely to celebrate our first Good News Worship of 2026. Well done to all the children for their fantastic work this week, and to Neave, who received the Quinn Cup for being a fantastic team captain for the girls' football team. Have a great weekend everyone!

ST JOHN'S SPORTS SUPERSTARS
We have some amazingly talented children in our school and we love to celebrate their sporting achievements. We are currently updating our Sports Superstars display in school so if you would like your child to be featured, you can send a photo of your child (this could be with an award they have received or taking part in their sport) to Mr Cook on Class Dojo.
